Sander, the Wizard of the East
The Star (Ballarat, VIC) advertisement December 22, 23 and 24, 1857 -
“SANDER, the Wizard of the East, has arrived and will appear for the first time at the Star Hotel, on Thursday, 24th December.”
The day after this, he was said to have ‘just arrived’ from Sydney and would give his concert that night. It seems this was his first, and last, time. There is no further commentary or information. Perhaps he went back East...
