Samuel Walters
Almost nothing is to be seen of “Samuel Walters, the Wonderful Wizard of the North” excepting these couple of appearances on November 5 and 8, 1856. The Fortune of War hotel was located on the corner of Brougham Place, Pitt Street (it is now ‘Rowe Street’) and the licensee, William Ringland, hired performers to entertain his customers.
